River Falls Area Hospital (RFAH) is located in western Wisconsin, just 30 minutes east of St. Paul, Minn., and is part of a shared medical campus that provides easy access to hospital services, an Allina Health primary care clinic, specialty clinics, a long-term care facility and a wellness and fitness center. With 270 employees, more than 174 affiliated physicians and 25 staffed beds, RFAH provides a full range of inpatient, outpatient and emergency services, as well as surgical, cardiovascular, cancer treatment and rehabilitation services to approximately 28,000 patients each year.

Responsibilities

Req ID: 59855
Provides athletic training medical services to organizations such as high schools, colleges, amateur club teams and professional teams. Attends athletic events and practices, providing evaluation, assessment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Communicates return to play decisions to coaches, players, parents and athletic directors. Coordinates appropriate appointment or referral to provider for review/recommendation. Documents all encounters and patient interactions accurately and completely. Promotes or markets athletic training services as appropriate.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training and licensed by the state. Registered by state Medical Board of Medical Pracctice. Basic Life Support Certification

Qualification/Skills

Two or more years related experience preferred

Work Schedule

This position will be responsible for both training room and event coverage as requested by schools. This will involve day and well as evening time coverage.
