Biomedical Electronic Tech II - Full Time - Waconia

This position is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing medical and non-medical equipment. Provides technical information or assistance to hospital personnel relating to medical instrumentation and use.
Inspects, repairs, and troubleshoots the hospital's electronic and medical electronic equipment using necessary electronic test equipment and service aids.
Tests specifications for each instrument and defines inspection cycles.
Maintains literature and keeps informed of new trends regarding equipment servicing, current codes, standards and evaluations.
Maintains biomedical department files, orders parts, and completes work orders and schedule of preventative maintenance records.
Manages and coordinates department responsibilities in the absence of the Biomedical Engineer Supervisor.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Work Experience/License/Certifications
BMET graduate or Associate's degree in Bio-Med
3 years of Biomed experience
Must be at least 21 years old in order to meet Ridgeview's insurability requirements
Valid MN driver's license and meets Ridgeview's insurability requirements
Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
Basic knowledge of cabling, functional patient care systems and equipment, and electrical troubleshooting
Ability to read schematics
Ability to multi-task
Advanced computer hardware and software skills
Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
