Provide patient care support and assist providers as instructed by the physician
Room patients, manage patient flow and obtain adequate patient medical information/data
Receive or initiate patient phone calls and follow practice or protocol while gathering pertinent data regarding the reason for call or patient request
Actively engage in Team Communication, huddles or other activities
Schedule/cancel appointments for existing patients following standard practice
Clean, prepare, organize and re-stock exam rooms
Perform other duties as assigned
Schedule Surgery
Provide patient care pre/post encounter or procedure, preventative or other health information per provider.
Coordinates care with other medical providers which will include but is not limited to physicians, physical therapists, QRCs, athletic trainers.
Coordinates PT orders, work restrictions, diagnostic orders, surgery orders etc.
Knowledge of casting/splinting application and removal techniques and able to give appropriate patient


Minimum of a Bachelor degree from National Athletic Trains Association board of certification approved program required


Having athletic training experience with injury assessment, evaluations, preventive medicine, rehabilitation, nutrition, and strength and conditioning aspects

Having skills in administration, communications and record keeping, education etc.

Current licensure with the State of Minnesota Department of Regulation and licensing required
Certification from the National Athletic Trainers Association board of certification required
First Aid and CPR certification required

Work Schedule

This position will primarily support Podiatrists in the metro region, working primarily out of the Allina Health Metro clinic at Bandana Square, and United Medical Specialties on Mondays.40 hours per week
Monday-Friday: Time can vary between 7:00 am - 5:30 pm
Schedule is determined and may change based on business need
Will need to travel to additional clinic locations in the metro to support other podiatrists as needed.
No weekends
