Job Description


The Administrative Support Assistant is the most important person in our team when they begin with a warm welcome to our patients and their families. The role will be the first in-person contact that a patient/family has with our office and their friendliness allows for a lasting impression. The services provided at the Outpatient Clinics includes the Thoracic and Breast Centers, Womens Imaging, Cancer Risk Assessment , Survivorship and Adult Hemophilia, The various clinics will provide a variety of interesting experiences. Daily responsibilities will include a variety of administrative and clerical functions to support multiple teams to help improve the quality of the care provided. Incumbents will collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, answer incoming calls, direct patients/visitors, scan critical documents into the EMR , maintain work ques to help process referrals etc. This role requires the ability to multi-task and requires strong communication, creativity, organizational skills and exceptional customer service skills .
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 12 months customer service experience required.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong multi-tasking skills.
Ability to sort and file accurately.
Ability to type routine correspondence, forms, reports, etc.
