Maine Behavioral Healthcare, a MaineHealth member, has an exciting and interesting position for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work with the Southern Maine Health Care Behavioral Health Unit, primary care consultations, interacting with the behavioral health psychiatric team including psychiatrist and APP as well as interacting with the SMHC Sanford ED medical staff.

The Sanford Behavioral Health units will consist of 2 brand new units with a census capacity of 30-40 beds. It will be located upstairs from the fully operational Sanford SMHC Emergency Department. Medical colleagues will include 2 inpatient psychiatrists, 2 Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse practitioners, Emergency Medicine physicians and Nurse Practitioners.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Masters Degree required.
Successful completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with at least 2 years of NP/PA experience.
Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
Current BLS certification.
