Summary: The Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer is a member of the Baptist Health's executive management team and employed by UAB. This position is administratively responsible for providing leadership and direction for Finance, Revenue Cycle and Supply Chain Management. This position promotes values of Baptist Health by focusing on customer service, emphasizing visibility and honest communication with staff, and facilitating a positive work environment built on trust, teamwork, innovation and growth. This position works closely with the Executive Leadership Team in the development and implementation of policies, plans and programs which assures optimal support and services from Finance, Revenue Cycle and Supply Chain Management.


Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and CPA designation required.
Advanced degree strongly preferred.
Ten (10) years experience in healthcare Financial Management/Revenue Cycle with successful track record of progressive accomplishments.
Comprehensive knowledge of Finance and Revenue Cycle with experience and exposure to all core functions within the discipline.
The Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer is expected to: Be a mature, intelligent, personable, self-confident and seasoned executive possessing varied management experience, which includes a successful track record of financial leadership and accomplishment. Possess superior interpersonal qualities and the demeanor and style to quickly establish credibility in the organization, this executive is also willing and able to invest time in communicating these skills and attributes to their managers in a mentor role. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to represent the Baptist Health in formal and informal settings. Be a creative problem-solver with the willingness to take the initiative in leading change as well as the ability to effectively manage change. Assumes ownership to problems by following through until problems are resolved.
