MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING TECHNOLOGIST: Under the direction of the Radiologist and the supervision of the manager or supervisor, is responsible for the performance of high quality diagnostic images utilizing proper technique and established protocols. This person utilizes independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative for accurate diagnosis. This position demonstrates competencies in physics - registry- , Mar's and new protocols. This position is responsible for orienting new staff, troubleshooting equipment, patient and public safety, maintaining accurate records, assisting in student education, proper use and care of the equipment and performs other duties as required. This position must meet the continuing educational requirements established by the ACR and achieve MR registry within 2 years of employment within this modality. This position adheres to Practice Standards defined by the ASRT.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) ARRT or NMTCB EXPERIENCE: Preferred

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: MRI Safety Protocols, Cross Sectional Anatomy, Venipuncture.
