Job Description


The Assistant Director of Hematologic Malignancy Research will lead research efforts on towards drug developments and basic discovery in multiple myeloma and other hematologic cancers for Seidman Cancer Center and The Division of Hematology and Oncology. He/she will lead projects independently and be involved in all aspects of the research including designing and conducting experiments and preparing manuscripts. In addition, the as Assistant Director of Hematologic Malignancy Research, he/she will be responsible for mentorship and training of staff, fellows and post-docs, grow research funding from government sources as well as competitive funding from foundations, industry, and other private sources in the area of Hematologic Malignant Diseases. Finally as the Assistant Director, he/she will also stimulate interactions between clinicians and lab researches and coordinate efforts towards drug developments.


  • PhD, MD or equivalent doctoral degree in relevant discipline required.
  • Peer reviewed publications within the field of Hematologic Malignancy disease
  • A combination of research, teaching and professional service experience appropriate for academic appointment.
