Under the general direction of the VP of Eldercare Services, the Assistant Administrator will assist in the day to day planning and administration of program and financial operations; planning development, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of Residential Care program services; management of staff; and the delivery of high quality services to the residents and families of the Eldercare programs. In the absence of the Administrator, the Assistant Administrator is charged with carrying out the resident care policies established by SMHC Eldercare services. This position is located at Mayflower Place Assisted Living in Sanford.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Bachelors degree in the health, human services, and/or community services field preferred.
Must possess strong organization and time-management skills.
Ability to conceptualize, organize, and implement a plan for the assisted living and residential care services; anticipate problems, predict outcomes, and plan for the future required.
Must possess ability to hire, direct, and manage personnel.
Must be able to effectively communicate the program philosophy and goals.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must possess a high degree of interpersonal relations skills and capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities. Must have considerable initiative, judgment and leadership skills.
Valid drivers license required.
