Process Improvement Specialist

The Process Improvement Specialist facilitates multiple process improvement teams and consults with leaders and staff throughout the organization on process improvement to provide value to patients by increasing and improving the experience of care, streamlining processes and creating improved efficiency. Provides process improvement coaching, consulting and education while ensuring accountability, focus, strategic alignment, healthcare best practice, and interdisciplinary stakeholder engagement while utilizing metrics to achieve goals and objectives.
Facilitate multiple interdisciplinary teams to drive improvement incorporating observing processes and/or outcomes to identify gaps in performance, assess and identify problems, map processes (current/future state), define measurements, communicate, foster teamwork, and develop a feasible plan for improvement.
Develop and adhere to project scope and identify change/improvement.
Collaborate with the Process Improvement Steering Committee and Administration regarding PI project priority, coordination and alignment with the strategic plan and tactical priorities.
Utilize problem solving tools and performance improvement methodologies are available and understood throughout the organization. Tools include, but are not limited to: LEAN, continuous improvement, change management, PDSA, 5 Whys, Root Cause Analysis, A3 thinking, Value Stream mapping, data analytics, and other tools
Develop key deliverables including presentations, status updates, and demonstrate regulatory compliance.
Coach, develop and mentor individuals in process improvement.
Continuously evaluate/assess the Process Improvement System at NH&C for potential improvements and implement these improvements as appropriate.
Five years healthcare experience
Bachelor's degree in business, health care, or other related field with two years process improvement/project management or Associate degree in healthcare discipline with three years process improvement/project management. Master's Degree preferred.
Preferred Formal training in process improvement, project management, and/or change management
80hrs/2wks(Position could be available between 64-80hrs/2wks)
