In fiscal year2018, Duke Raleigh Hospital admitted 9,484 patients and had 230,957 outpatient visits in fiscal year 2017.

Occ Summary
In support of a department or group of professio nals, regularlyrequired to resolve moderately complex (non-routine) admi nistrativeproblems independently or with others. Problem resolution may includeresearch. Tasks are typically diverse and advanced.

Work Performed

In addition to tasks outlined in the Administrative Clerk description, examples of work at this level may typically include some combination of the following:

Providing administrative support for Chief Medical Officer, Emergency Medicine Medical Director and other Duke Raleigh Managerial Staff.

Coordinate with leadership offices within Duke Raleigh Hospital and Duke Health to administer meetings involving complex calendars; schedule or arrange activities effectively

Greet callers and visitors to department and assist with general information, questions; act as office receptionist

Perform routine clerical tasks

Match records against source documents to verify accuracy

Independently prepare reports, charts, graphs, and spreadsheets as requested

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Creatively uses PC, word processing and other off icetools.Thorough knowledge of department policies, procedures, and goals.

Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and web applications
Ability to manage multiple tasks and manage complex calendars
Effective verbal and written communication skills, highly organized with attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills
Willingness and ability to work as part of a team to complete tasks
Ability to professionally interact with Executives, Physicians, and staff members
