The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine, established in 2015 and located in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, a semi-tropical area known for rich culture, wildlife and economical living conditions is growing. The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology seeks a full time fellowship trained faculty member in the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS). This is a unique opportunity to join a new medical school and residency program in OB/Gyn and a planned residency program in Urology. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a newly created FPMRS Division led by a fellowship trained FPMRS attending. This is an opportunity to expand the Division, enhance the research agenda and grow the clinical practice. Our program prioritizes social responsibility, respect, dignity, sensitivity, sensibility, advocacy and community service – with a mission to improve health, and life, at the individual and community levels. The position will be based at the Doctor’s Hospital Renaissance (DHR) in Edinburg, Texas, the primary teaching site for the new UTRGV-SOM Ob/Gyn residency program.
