Responsibilities

Req ID: 55583
Provides department reception and telephone coverage in collaboration with other department staff, including interaction with patients
Facilitates department communication
Coordinates meetings, conferences, presentations, travel arrangements and performs other routine administrative work
Coordinates department educational activities and documentation
Prepares documents in a variety of formats including correspondence, memos, reports, organization charts, telephone lists, patient education materials
Prepares and coordinates department mailings
Updates policy and procedure manuals
Submits computer access and service requests
Maintains and tracks expense reports and coordinates reimbursement of invoices
May have responsibility for assigned projects within the department utilizing one or more software packages
Responsibilities are broad and varied

Education

College or technical education / AA Degree in medical field or high school graduate with equivalent related administrative support in the medical office / hospital setting
Preparation in computer applications, word processing, and medical terminology

Qualification/Skills

Experience
Minimum 2-5 years of administrative or secretarial experience
Experienced administrative support at the senior level

Skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills, able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
Proficiency and accuracy in document preparation
Excellent judgment and problem solving skills
Requires good judgement
Ability to work independently with limited supervision, and collaboratively with a team
Computer proficiency in one or more software packages

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, business hours (8:00 am - 4:30 pm)
