The Clinical Analyst is responsible to the Director of Clinical Informatics and its clients for the effective design, development, implementation, modification and evaluation of all automated systems for the Clinical and Medical staff. This position recommends solutions, both automated and manual to enhance the quality and functionality of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and assists with training programs related to automated systems within the Lake Health network.
Essential Job functions:
Participation in the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, modification and evaluation of all EMR modules and upgrades as well as any other related clinical informatics applications.
Analyze current workflows, seek and utilize end user input and champion new workflows to maximize patient safety, operational efficiency and staff, patient and physician satisfaction.
Provide proactive user support of CIS including training and education for live events and ongoing post live support.
Participate in designated weekly meetings including but not limited to Team and EMR Implementation and Support Team (SCIT) meetings, to plan, design, communicate, present and demonstrate forms, policies, workflows and educational materials.
Plan, develop, implement and evaluate the EMR and related systems to optimize usage by the medical staff.
Maintain expertise in all clinical informatics applications, equipment, clinical practices and regulatory requirements, policies and procedures.
Implement and maintain clinical information system security and confidentiality mechanisms in accordance with federal guidelines and facility policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor Degree as licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
1-3 years of nursing experience in a clinical environment
Sorian Financial experience a plus
