Responsibilities

Req ID: 54993
Conducts the comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders in patients
Assists patients in preparing for sleep studies, and instructs patients on standard sleep study processes/procedures
Scores PSGs, MSLTs and MWTs
Fits patients for airway devices as needed
Educates patients on sleep disorders, and the operation of sleep disorder devices

Education

Successful completion of polysomnography program with a state licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility (preferred) OR meets BRPT standards for a sleep technologist (preferred) OR equivalent experience with documented proficiency in all required competencies of a Polysomnographic Technologist

Qualification/Skills

Experience
One or more years experience in polysomnography preferred

Skills
Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of PAP devices
Critical thinking skills
Technologically skilled

Licensure/Certifications
Current license in allied health profession, if applicable
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Must be Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) through NRPT or credentialed with Sleep Disorders Specialty from NBRC

Work Schedule

This position is .9 FTE with variable 12 hour night shifts.
