Job Description


The Accreditation/Regulatory Specialist works in conjunction with Mayo Clinic leaders, medical staff and allied health staff to facilitate education regarding emerging and market driven trends in healthcare accreditation and regulatory processes. Provides education and consultation regarding healthcare quality, and interpretation of regulations and accreditation standards, with an emphasis on hospital, critical access hospital, ambulatory, behavioral health, home care and disease specific care certification standards and/or regulations. Assists in facilitating an integrated organizational approach to assessing and meeting regulatory requirements and process improvements. Supports and facilitates coordination of regulatory surveys for the outpatient and inpatient practice.

Qualifications


Bachelor's degree required
Three years leadership or project management experience
Ability to communicate and work successfully with other leaders, medical staff, and allied health staff
Expertise in evaluation techniques
Ability to organize information from a variety of sources and communicate it in a meaningful way
