Job Summary: Under the direction of the Vice President of Nursing, the Emergency Department Manager assures service development, personnel management, resource allocation and management controls in order to ensure consistent high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department and Clinical Decision Unit.
BS in Nursing required.
MS desired (in administrative services preferably).
Five years of Emergency or Critical Care experience with progressive management responsibility is desired.
Five years in an administrative management role desired.
Current registration as an RN in state.
Knowledge of human resource management, program development, fiscal management skills, and familiarity with regulatory and accrediting agency standards preferred.
Oversees performance improvement program that consistently monitors and evaluates critical aspects of care.
Seeks new program strategies and/or program enhancements which would expand patient services and initiates/submits proposals for consideration.
Responsible for departmental operation excellence including support of Fisher-Titus Medical Center's STUDER partnership, LEAN processes and administering patient care Every Patient. Every Time. ; ensures department delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures and professional standards.
