Owatonna Hospital, located south of the Twin Cities, offers inpatient and outpatient orthopedic, general, urology, plastic, ENT and ophthalmologic surgical services; inpatient mental health; birthing center; emergency medicine; and rehabilitation services through Courage Kenny Rehabilitation InstituteTM. With 331 employees, 163 physicians and 43 staffed beds, Owatonna Hospital serves approximately 42,000 inpatients and outpatients annually. The hospital is connected to Mayo Clinic Health System Owatonna and Koda Living Community, an 80-bed long- and short-term care facility.

Conducts a nutrition assessment of patients based on evidence-based standard by using the nutrition care process.
Carries out physician orders, accurately, and in a timely manner.
Performs technical functions per department/unit procedures.
Organizes and prioritizes patient nutrition care effectively.
Recognizes developmental stages in growth and development from the pediatric to the geriatric population.
Participants in-patient care planning/discharge planning.
Documents pertinent patient data using established charting systems.
Gives accurate and concise reports while observing confidentiality issues.
Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition or Dietetics with successful completion of an accredited internship or affiliate program.
Possesses knowledge and experience in the bases of medical nutrition therapy as well as a strong background in the functional nutrition approach to nutrition counseling
Demonstrates appropriate use of conventional and functional nutrition within a variety of patient populations
Experience in comprehensive/integrative nutritional program development
Understands integrative medicine and the modalities therein and is able to make informed referrals to other integrative medicine practitioners
Excellent counseling skills
In-depth knowledge and experience in working with patient care team.
Licensed Nutritionist in the State of Minnesota
