Job duites specific to job description and standards set by Montana Board of Pharmacy. We fill any needs for staffing at Highland Park Pharmacy and Big Sky Pharmacy. Serve as supportive personnel. Duties fall into task categories that do not require pharmaceutical judgement.
High school graduate or equivalent and be at least 18 years of age.
National certification as Pharmacy Technican and registration with Montana Board of Pharmacy as Certified Technician upon hire.
Required to have at least six months of active experience as a pharmacy technician or experience deemed as equivalent by the board.
LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION
Registration with Montana Board of Pharmacy as Certified Pharmacy Technician upon hire..
Six months or equivalent as a pharmacy technician.
KNOWLEDGE OF, SKILLS IN, ABILITY TO, COMPLEXITY AND DIFFICULY:
Knowledge of personal computers, hardware, basic software programs including Microsoft Outlook, word processing, and spreadsheets.
Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to refer to policy manual for specific instructions/guidelines.
Follow established policies and procedures.
Ability to adhere to the standards of the job description and overall philosophy of Bozeman Deaconess Health Services.
Ability to maintain flexibility to adapt to a variety of workload assignments and ability to work independently.
COMPLEXITY AND DIFFICULTY:
50% Time Spent - Assists Pharmacist with all aspects of BDH medication distribution system. including compounding, accurate prescription filling, entering prescription information and patient information into information system, labeling and charging for prescriptions and over the counter items.
20% Time Spent - Answers telephone and assists customers. Performs variety of data entry and report generating tasks.
10% Time Spent - Enters charges and credits. Responsible for adjudication and reconcilation of patient accounts and insurance billing.
10% Time Spent - Assists in maintaining accurate inventory. Maintain adequate drug inventories and supplies to meet dispensing needs. Assist in maintaining perpetual inventory including controlled substances.
10% Time Spent - Performs other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the department and organization.
- Casual Call (Per Diem/As Needed)
