Job Description


This is a temporary position providing clinical and psychosocial support to adult and pediatric patients in the radiation oncology program.Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, provides psychotherapy, coordinates patient discharge planning, complies with required standards for medical/legal responsibilities, and serves as a resource to other allied and administrative staff within the section of Social Work and the Department of Nursing.

Qualifications


Social worker with current licensure at the clinical level and eligible to practice independently. An MSW degree is also required from an accredited social Work program.

Experience in a medical setting or with oncology patients is preferred but not required. An LGSW who is close to completing the requirements for an LICSW would also be considered.
