Job Duties to include:
Obtaining case histories of patients.
Comprehensive diagnostic testing of patients from infancy to geriatric population.
Hearing aid dispensing with cutting-edge technology and fitting/follow up care.
In House repair and/or cleaning of hearing aids.
Counseling with patients and family members and coordination of patient care with other healthcare professionals.
Potential for electrophysiological assessments, such as ABRs, VNGs and ECOGs.
Knowledge of assistive listening devices and recreational accessories.
Interprets test results/dictates reports for EMR.
Ability to work independently and show initiative in for filling necessary tasks without supervision.
Must have great problem-solving skills and organizational and analytical abilities and maintain good working relationships with patients coworkers and physicians.
2 to 3 years of experience in the field preferred.
Confidentiality relating to patient and business information.
Follow good safety and infection control protocols.
Excellent listening skills ability to work both autonomously and as a team member.
Masters degree in Audiology or Doctor of Audiology from an accredited school. SC state licensure or eligibility for license.
