Assesses auditory function and communication problems caused by hearing loss utilizing appropriate audiologic diagnostic procedures. Provides consultation and recommendation of audiologic (re)habilitation, including amplification devices (when appropriate). Promotes patient advocacy, patient education, and prevention of communication problems. Employee may be required to float to any site on occasion, as determined by business need. Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology or Communication Disorders with specialization in Audiology required. Required upon hire: State of Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Licensure for Audiologists. (Maintenance of MDH Licensure is required for the duration of employment.) Within 2 months of hire: Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or Board Certification in Audiology by the American Board of Audiology (ABA).
