Echocardiograph/Ultrasound Cardiovascular Technologist (Certified) - Georgetown

Serves on the call rotation to take call and responds within 30 minutes to facility to meet patient service needs. Performs diagnostic cardiopulmonary ultrasounds with documentation of anatomy measurements and abnormal or suspicious anatomy. Performs various cardiac testing, including echocardiograph and stress echo. Provides excellent patient care while demonstrating exemplary core customer service skills. Completes accurate documentation of patient medical records. Provides Assigned a home facility but covers and floats to all Tidelands Health sites as necessary and completes other duties as assigned.
Minimum of two years on the job training with demonstrated competency, required.
Prior Echocardiograph and Vascular experience, preferred.
Prior Cardiopulmonary/Ultrasound Tech experience, preferred.
High School diploma, required.
Advanced degree, preferred.
Echosonography credential (RDCS or RCS) or Vascular credential (RVT or RVS), required.
Dual credential for echosonography and vascular, preferred.
American Heart Association Healthcare provider course with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required to be initially completed with the TH Organizational Development Office within 30 calendar days of hire date (exceptions to obtain certification from a provider other than the TH Organizational Development Office are approved by TH Organizational Development on a case by case basis). BLS Recertification is required every two (2) years.
Knowledge of scanning techniques, required.
Knowledge of Normal and Abnormal Anatomy, required.
Computer Proficient, required.
Medical Terminology, required.
Ability and willingness to take call and respond within 30 minutes of call to facility.
Physical Requirements: Medium Physical Agility Test (PAT) Rating
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) required to stand, sit, and walk; occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert 20 to 35 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 15 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
