Radiation Therapist PRN - Outpatient Radiation Therapy

Under general direction, provides pulmonary services to patients.

Provides timely and efficient pulmonary services to patients
Performs tasks and duties as outlined in the Respiratory Care Department Policy and Procedure manual
Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic testing to include ABG (arterial blood gas), EKG and assist with bronchoscopy
Monitors patients during and after treatment
Modifies care to meet the needs of the patient
Records treatment information and patients response to treatment
Ensures the security of medications as defined by departmental procedures
Ensures that equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
Performs other duties as assigned
Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program.
Experience: Six (6) months of relevant experience if no certification at time of hire.
Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: Certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists in Radiation Therapy OR eligible to sit for the exam. BLS upon hire.
Special Requirement: Some positions may require approval in accordance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) guidelines for unescorted access to radioactive materials.
