The Business Analytics/Intelligence Manager leads a team of data analytics and reporting experts and manages the processes and people responsible for accurate data collection, processing, modeling and analysis. The ideal candidate has a knack for seeing solutions in sprawling data sets and the business mindset to convert insights into strategic actionable opportunities. The Manager will work closely with leaders across our healthcare organization to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions. They will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures for analytics/reporting employees to follow. They will use advanced data modeling, predictive modeling and analytical techniques to interpret key findings from healthcare data and leverage these insights into initiatives that will support business/clinical outcomes. They will apply knowledge of data analysis to help solve real-world problems faced by our healthcare organization and help find opportunities for improvement across multiple projects, teams and departments.
Provides leadership and oversight of the Business Analytics/Intelligence team. Supports the department through development of programs, goals and objectives consistent with those of the organization's overall strategic plan and initiatives.
Manages staff resources by overseeing the recruiting, selecting, hiring and orienting qualified individuals. Evaluates staff performance in an accurate, consistent, objective and timely manner. Develops core position hiring strategies and ensures opportunities for professional development. Creates a cohesive Business Analytics/Intelligence team committed to providing efficient and concise data solutions to internal and external customers.
Manages resources and Service Requests within the IT Business Analytics/Intelligence department. Supports quality improvement efforts and service delivery that contributes to the overall success of Information Technology and the organization.
Provides mentoring to Business Analytics/Intelligence team members with technical expertise, complex systems, and/or programming knowledge.
Participates in IT Governance committees and serves as a professional resource for physicians, clinicians and leadership. Collaborates with Ridgeview leadership to identify and evaluate strategic opportunities for the application of information assets. May represent Information Technology and Ridgeview Medical Center in community outreach including participation on committees and in doing presentations.
Reviews and monitors applicable policies and procedures. As assigned, ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agency standards.
Maintains technical competencies and/or knowledge in accord with scope and responsibility of the position. Identifies and recommends tools to enhance data mapping and ETL processes.
Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics.
Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modeling, visualization and communication deliverables.
Examine, interpret and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders in leadership, technology, sales, marketing and product teams.
Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements.
Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget and business within your department and design/implement solutions to meet these needs.
Proactively identifies and acts upon improvement projects and opportunities through observation, data analysis, engagement with partners, review of external impact factors and best practices, as well as ongoing communication with leadership and staff.
Collaborates with IT and departmental staff to ensure data retention and future reporting needs are addressed as legacy systems are decommissioned.

Minimum Education/Work Experience/License/Certifications
Bachelor's Degree or post-secondary combined with equivalent experience
Minimum 5-7 years of supervisory or leadership experience with progressive managing responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop team
Excellent communication and influencing skills and ability to build strong working relationships at all levels
Assures excellent service with a high degree of urgency to internal and external customers
Systemic thinking when contemplating and implementing change
Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously.
Working knowledge of data mining principles; predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources.
Experience with data visualization, big data and testing tools.
Strong SQL expertise including SSRS, SSIS, Power BI and effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries,
Experience working with and creating databases and dashboards using all relevant data to inform decisions.
Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: Hypothesis development, designing/tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units.
Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to company growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business/clinical outcomes.
Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities.
Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
Experience with healthcare and healthcare information management.
Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and other applicable data privacy practices and laws
Microsoft SQL certification
