Assesses, plans, coordinates, implements, evaluates and documents educational services for nursing employees throughout all divisions of SRMC, to include orientation, mandatory education, continuing education and competency assessment. Provides input into the development of policies and procedures for the Educational Service Dept. Participates in hospital accreditation activities related to competency issues. Assist with the on-going delivery of hospital-wide training. Coordinates staff development, faculty and /or student nurse orientation as designated
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an approved Registered Nurse Program with current licenses to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
Possess the ability to provide classroom instruction and the ability to demonstrate basic computer skills.
Applicant must have five years of experience as a RN in an acute care setting.
Pursuing a BSN Degree or Graduate of an approved BSN program with current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
Possess the ability to achieve BCLS Instructor status and/ or nursing certification in chosen area of specialty.
Possess education/training/experience in the principles of adult learning.
Proficiency in the use of audiovisual equipment, word processing and presentation software is desirable.
