Diagnostic Medical Physicist

The Division of Medical Physics in the Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN invites applications for positions in our clinical medical physics support team. This position is an associate consultant role of limited term, with possibility for renewal.
Qualified individuals should possess a recent Ph.D. in medical physics or equivalent, be board certification eligible, and have a strong component of machine learning and programming background; as well as demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of an experimental research project, including coordination, data acquisition and analysis, software development and documentation. Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage teams of scientists and other healthcare professionals are essential.
Specific innovation areas of interest for this position include support for the Radiology Augmented Human Intelligence project within the Department of Radiology. The charge of this group is to facilitate and optimize the discovery, translation and application of artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learningcollectively referred to as augmented human intelligence (AHI)to support the mission of Mayo Clinic Radiology. We are currently in the process of recruiting candidates for the administrative and operational structures required to support discovery to practice. The goal of the initiative is to place Mayo Clinic at the vanguard of the AHI field with Radiology being an early opportunity area.
