This is a FULL TIME 40 hour per week Medical Assistant Position. The Medical Assistant will be a part of our float pool covering Charlotte, Lee, Hendry and Collier County. Candidates must be willing to travel to all physician offices within Lee Physician Group. Schedules will be set up in advance for locations in which coverage is needed. Internal MA Candidates will receive an additional $3.00 an hour on top of their current pay rate. The increase in pay rate reflects expense coverage for travel. Pay rates for External Candidates are established based on applicable experience with the minimum pay rate starting at $16.38 an hour. The hourly pay rate reflects expense coverage for travel. The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing an excellent customer experience while assisting in all aspects of medical practice under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician. This position is responsible for patient safety, performing phlebotomy, Point of Care testing, assisting in minor procedures, processing lab specimens and the safe operation of medical equipment. The Medical Assistant is responsible for handling and administering all medications according to regulatory standards and organizational policy and procedure. This position is responsible for the collection, communication and documentation of accurate patient information/data and maintaining medical records according to regulatory standards and organizational policies and procedures. This position provides patient instructions as directed by the physician. Other responsibilities include coordinating requests for information and prescriptions, maintain and preparing patient care areas to ensure efficient, effective and safe patient care delivery. This position can be assigned Sat and Sun shifts and reports to the Manager/Supervisor. This position is required to float to all LPG and Hospital Outpatient Department locations across four counties.
