The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Department of Surgery, is currently accepting applications for an adult cardiac surgeon with expertise in adult cardiac surgery and strong interest in aortic surgery, endovascular procedures, and trans-catheter valve replacement. This position is at the Assistant/Associate Professor level and may be either in either the tenure or clinical (non-tenure) track dependent upon the qualifications and goals of the individual.
Successful applicants will become part of the University of Iowa Health Cares Heart and Vascular Center (UIHVC) which is the regional leader in diagnostics and treatment of a multitude of heart, vascular and thoracic diseases and conditions. Advanced fellowship training in aortic surgery is highly desired.
A minimum 3-5 years of experience as an attending surgeon is desired. Experience in research at a level which enables procurement of outside funding is required for tenure track appointments.
