Manager, Public Reporting & ACO Transformation

Under the direction of the Senior Director of Analytics & Public Reporting, the Manager of Public Reporting & ACO Transformation oversees two functional pieces as it relates to reporting/regulatory needs for the hospital and ACO.
For the hospital, the Manager of Public Reporting & ACO Transformation is responsible for oversight and management of all clinical abstraction by the clinical data abstractors as required by regulatory agencies. The abstraction is related (but not limited to) Joint Commission, MassHealth, CMS, and Department of Public Health (DPH). Along with providing direction, data validation and mentorship for abstractors, the Manager of Public Reporting is responsible for the successful transition of manual abstraction to electronic submission of core measures (eCQM), which must properly align with Meaningful Use Standards. The Manager of Public Reporting & ACO Transformation is responsible on timely/appropriate submission/reporting on measurement performance internally/externally (i.e., regulatory and payer) and aiding the Chief Quality Officer in performance management as it relates to abstracted quality measures. The Manager of Public Reporting & ACO Transformation must be a content expert on the clinical workflows that relate to (but not limited to) performance/quality measures.
For the ACO, the Manager of Public Reporting & ACO Transformation is responsible for the oversight and management of direct reports responsible for the support for the ACO. As the Manager of Public Reporting & ACO Transformation is also responsible for: (1) being a content expert in HEDIS/contract based quality measures; (2) understanding clinical/operational workflows as it relates to these measures; and (3) aid in performance management of measures; (4) ensure timely/appropriate submission/reporting on measurement performance internally/externally (i.e., regulatory and payer)EDUCATION:
Masters degree required. Clinical degree (MD, PA, RN, etc) is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
At least 5 years of professional experience in an abstraction role with documented increases in responsibility or clinical setting required. Trained and proficient in Core measure abstraction and/or experience in data quality preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Ability to create and manage large databases.
Ability to research, understand, and consolidate regulatory requirements and policies.
Knowledge of statistics, process analysis, and outcome analysis.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web browsers.
Able to read and speak the English language.
Additional skills preferred:
Knowledge and experience in health information management and ICD-9 or ICD-10 coding practices preferred.
