Job Description

Associate's Degree

Health Information Management (HIM) Assistant Performs staff and administrative work to support the HIM Director and management team. Duties also include general clerical, reception, payroll, and project based work. Additionally, assists with processing medical record subpoenas and related legal documents. General knowledge of HIM and related guidelines required as job requires initiative and sound independent judgment in carrying out tasks.

Requirements: Associates degree in Medical Office Technology or equivalent work experience, education or training. Three years administrative assistant experience or related experience or education. Previous health information management experience or training preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must type minimum of 50 wpm.

SHIFT/HOURS: Typically Monday Friday 8:30A 5:00P. Flexibility required however for workflow priorities that may require altering schedule for timely payroll processing, required reports, etc.
