Responsibilities Req ID: 61279 Provides patient care support and assists providers in the delivery of timely, quality patient health care services in a clinic environment. May work in a team supporting multiple providers. Rooms patients, manages patient flow and obtains adequate patient medical information/data. Receives or initiates patient phone calls and follows practice or protocol while gathering pertinent data regarding the reason for call or patient request. Schedules/cancels appointments for existing patients following standard practice. Cleans, prepares, organizes and re-stocks exam rooms. Performs EKG's as needed. This position will also be responsible for assisting with Optifast product inventory, ordering, and/or product sales Education Graduate of an accredited LPN program and current MN LPN licensure or Applicants with less than 6 months of Medical Assistant experience must have graduated from an accredited medical assisting school with a clinical externship. BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Qualification/Skills REQUIRED: Excellent communication and customer service skills in order to positively impact the experience of care for our patients, external customers and internal service partners. Ability to respond to various patient needs. Good organization, problem solving and judgment skills. Effective keyboarding skills and ability to navigate within an electronic medical record work environment PREFERRED: Minimum of one year clinic Medical Assistant or LPN experience Experience working with electronic medical records program Work Schedule Location: Bloomington Clinic 40 hours per weekTypical hours are 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. May be required to work 1-2 evenings/month (until 6:30pm) to assist with an evening support group.
