When Lane Regional Medical Center opened in 1960, Zachary was a sleepy suburb of Baton Rouge. In the years since then much has changed. The region has witnessed unprecedented growth, and the health care industry has experienced a revolution unparalleled in any other industry. Today, with 700+ employees, Lane is the largest employer with the city of Zachary and has a renewed commitment to the profession and the community.
Under the leadership of the Board of Commissioners, CEO Randall Olson, and administrative and department leaders, the hospital continues grow and aggressively recruit new physicians and staff members. Just in the past year the hospital has purchased additional property for future expansion efforts and launched Cardiology services, a new cath lab, the Scale Down weight management program, and the FastLane after hours walk-in clinic.
Lane's leadership also dedicates the necessary resources to ensure the latest technology and highest standards of care are always available. The new Picture Archival System making x-rays digital, expanding the Diabetes, Sleep Studies, OB, Ortho and Outpatient Surgery programs, and opening a third physician office complex are just a few examples.
Behind the scenes, employees are dedicated to meeting and exceeding patient expectations through professionalism, teamwork and a positive attitude. A patient satisfaction program called Strive for 5 gives staff members the tools they need to succeed.
Lane Regional Medical Center takes its responsibilities and investment in the future very seriously, which is why it continues to change and grow with the community and is now a thriving regional facility.
