Woman's Hospital

In 1968, Woman's Hospital opened its doors, becoming one of the first women's specialty hospitals in the nation. Today, our team of dedicated staff and physicians delivers more than 8,500 babies each year, making Woman's the 17th largest delivery service in the country and the largest in Louisiana. In addition, the hospital performs more than 7,600 surgeries, 45,000 breast procedures, and 55,000 Pap tests on an annual basis. Woman's Hospital is a private, not-for-profit organization. All funds earned over expenses are reinvested into the hospital, allowing us to build state-of-the-art facilities and recruit highly qualified staff to better service women's and infant's health care needs. We remain committed to serving the people in the surrounding community, and support many worthwhile health care initiatives aimed at helping to achieve our mission: to improve the health of women and infants.

Creating an Exceptional Experience is at the center of what we do.
