Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design

The Green Building Council for Lexington; (LEED) Silver Certification

In August 2007 Lexington Medical Park 2 opened its doors.  The five story, 175,466 square-foot building offers a variety of physician practices, an 811-space parking deck and much more.  One of the main goals of the hospital during construction was to attain LEED certification.  The purpose of the LEED certification is to save energy, help preserve the environment and create a better overall atmosphere for our patients and employees.

  • Environmentally/Workplace Friendly Design - The first medical building in South Carolina designated as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Building (LEED Certified).
  • Two-story atrium with a monumental winding staircase and beautiful warm wood finishes.
  • Built with recycled materials such as steel, and outfitted with CO2 monitors to make it a healthier building.
  • Saving energy makes the overall atmosphere better for our patients and employees.
