King’sBridge was established in 1985 as a not-for-profit senior living community. The goal was to provide people over the age of 62 an active independent community with support available if needed. Residents today sign a one-year lease on apartments varying in size from a Studio to a Two-Bedroom apartment. Independent Living residents can choose one of the three meals served daily as a part of their lease fee. Door tags are provided for residents to put outside their doors in the evening and take in in the morning and the staff ensures that the resident is alright by checking the doors twice daily.
King’sBridge also has additional service levels that are licensed by the state of Georgia. There are 30 Assisted Living apartments on the second floor, where residents receive help with bathing and dressing, assistance in managing their medicines, and all three meals are provided in their lease. Staff visually check on the residents at least every two hours, day and night. In our Memory Care wing on the third floor, building A, we have 13 Studio apartments and residents there receive Assisted Living level of care with staff trained in caring for residents with memory impairment, and specialized activities just for them.
At King’sBridge, residents receive expert care and attention. Our not-for-profit status enables us to turn profits from monthly business activities into capital improvements that benefit our community. Decisions are based on what benefits the residents instead of paying investors. Resident care dominates our everyday philosophy.
