The night Polysomnographic Technician must possess an RPSGT certification and performs comprehensive Polysomnographic testing and analysis. The technician will work under the direct supervision of the Technical Director (RPSGT) and/or medical director (MD, PhD, DO.) or designee. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Demonstrates a positive customer service attitude Positive survey feedback in the 90th percentile or greater. Orientation survey. Patient satisfaction survey. The RPSGT verbalizes understanding and demonstrates competency on the following: Gathers analyzes and integrates patient information in order to identify and meet the patient specific needs (mental, physical, psychological and pertinent medical and social history. Prepares and calibrates equipment required for testing as well as asses the need for maintenance of sleep equipment and software.  Apply electrodes and sensors according to the policies accepted published by AASM standards. Perform appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and make adjustments if necessary. Assists with positive airway pressure (PAP) titration studies and mask fittings according to policies published by AASM standards. Follow procedural protocols per published standards for PSG, CPAP, Bi-level, MWT, and MSLT to ensure collection of appropriate data. Document routine observations including sleep stages and clinical events as per procedure manual. Assists qualified staff in implementation of appropriate interventions to insure safe and high quality of care for the patient. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide, as directed, age specific care in the treatment, assessment.  Answer telephone, take appropriate messages and direct them to the proper personnel for patient needs. Performs the services of copying, chart assembly, analysis, and chart retrieval of patient medical records.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Receive and process patient records following discharge. In an expedient, efficient manner, goes to the various units, picks up the prior day’s discharges, and deposits the records in the coding area. Via computer reports, validates each record into the MRD post discharge: locates and secures any missing paperwork. Ensures all prior day discharges have been received and retrieves any missing paperwork.  Accurate assembly/analysis (A&A) of records following discharge. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, responsible for utilizing the  nursing process to deliver direct nursing care, using time and resources efficiently. Under the direction of a RN/LPN or practitioner performs basic patient care activities.  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Obtain and document patient vitals. Perform bedside testing. Perform basic nursing procedures such as oral care, perineal/foley care, non-sterile soaks, or thermal applications. Ensure cleanliness of office and examination rooms.  Clean and store equipment. Provides a broad range of clerical functions for physicians and patients.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Greet patients, visitors and co-workers in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner. Answer all phone calls; take call back messages for back office staff. Pulls charts with patient info/message or medication refill request for back office. Reviews all referrals and schedule all patients with in a timely manner. Send physician fax backs with scheduled date and time, no shows, canceled appointments, etc. Creates chart prep/ pre-registration for all incoming patients and verifies all insurance prior to patient’s scheduled appointments.  Schedules follow up appointments.  Register patients in a complete and accurate manner to conform to all regulatory requirements. If any updates are warranted, clerk is required to update at that time. Responsible for completed new patient packets to be completed by patient.  Collect monies at time of service.  Count money drawer daily. Close out credit card machine daily.  and complete reconciliation form for each day. Responsible for taking daily deposits to assigned personnel. Send patient count(s) nursing, no shows, cancel, and complete, etc. daily. Send records back to referring physician once patients are seen and treated. Follow up on no show/canceled appointments. Check mail, drops off physician coat for cleaning. SonOgrapher functions as a healthcare provider working under a supervising physician, serves as a medical imaging professional who provides clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients.           ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Review patient medical history and supporting clinical information. Ensure that the sonography examination order is complete contains relevant information, and meets standards of medical necessity. Adhere to accepted professional and ethical standards. Maintain patient privacy, (HIPPA).
