The Phlebotomist will greet the public, perform designated clerical duties, obtain patient specimens in accordance with standards and procedures as set forth by local, state, and federal agencies and this institution for the purpose of performing diagnostic tests in order to aid the physician in making decisions regarding diagnosis and appropriate treatment.  Responsibilities JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES   1. The Dietetics Support position is responsible for a variety of tasks related to feeding patients and customers in the Bothwell Café. This position reports directly to the Dietetics Manager. Operates cash register. 8.        Answers phone and completes patients’ menus according to physician orders. The Durable Medical Equipment Therapist – RRT or CRTT is an allied health care practitioner who functions under the supervision of a physician and in accordance with hospital approved procedures and or protocols.  This individual is responsible the care of patients in need of Home Medical Equipment.  Duties include the administration of pharmacologic and therapeutic agents related to respiratory care to implement or modify diagnostic regimes, treatment, disease prevention, or pulmonary rehabilitation of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the cardiopulmonary system. The Clinic Receptionist performs duties directly involved with all aspects of the secretarial duties needed to maintain medical records. The Clinic Receptionist handles all incoming telephone calls, directing calls to the appropriate department or person and takes messages when needed. The Physical Therapist is responsible for the evaluation of patients; development, coordination and implementation of the treatment plan; maintenance of informative, accurate and timely documentation.   Based on assigned unit/area, the physical therapist could be involved in team meetings, family meetings and home evaluations.  Treatment outside the hospital setting could include home, school or industry.   Physical Therapists are required to keep current national registry and Missouri licensure, in addition to participating in continuing education and training of others. Responsibilities 1.        Therapeutic use of medical gases, air\oxygen apparatus, humidification and aerosol administration devices, and ventilatory assistance\control equipment. 2.        Administration of aerosolized medication, breathing exercises, chest physiotherapy, postural drainage, and airway suction treatments. 3.        Application of FIO2 and SpO2 analysis and monitoring equipment. 4.        Performs Pulmonary Function Testing 5.        Performs Nocturnal Desaturation Study and scans for physician interpretation 6.        Performance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, airway establishment, and airway maintenance. 7.        Completion of all clinical, non-clinical, documentation, and charging procedures in accordance with Hospital and Departmental procedures. Qualifications Education   a) Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy   Licensure/Certification   a) Certification (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). b) Must have a valid, current Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner license. c)   Must be current with BLS certification. d) ACLS required.   Work Experience   a) No work experience beyond educational clinical experience required.
