Central Peninsula Hospital (CPH) is a 49-bed not-for-profit acute care accredited hospital with approximately 880 staff members.  The campus supports several primary and speciality clinics, behavioral health, continuing care, rehabilitation, radiation oncology services and an excellect spine program.  Located in Soldotna, Alaska and just minutes away from Alaska's famed Kenai River, CPH is the primary health care facility serving the Central Kenai Peninsula with a service area of approximately 35,000 residents.  As the first Planetree designated hospital in Alaska, CPH seeks to provide healing in all dimensions:  mental, emotional, spiritual and social, as well as physical.

Follows established plan of care to provide personal daily care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADL) for assigned residents in a courteous and professional manner, including bathing, transfers, dressing, serving meals, and assisting residents with feeding and elimination. Performs assigned Food Service duties to ensure that requested and required foods are provided on schedule and are pleasing and palatable to residents of all ages and all other customers.  Foods are prepared in accordance with State and Federal guidelines.  Infection control procedures and department standards are followed to ensure protection from contamination, cross-contamination, and food borne illness.   REQUIREMENTS: High School graduate or GED.  One year of food service experience required; prefer full service dining, or institutional dietary experience.  Food Handlers card required at time of hire.  Basic computer skills.  Ability to provide compassionate and nuturing service to residents and customers.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides basic Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and assists with data collection under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The CNA assists with inpatient care throughout nursing areas and is responsible for the safe transport of patients via wheel chair or stretcher, and appropriate documentation of services. The CNA provides the services of an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation in order to maximize his/her safety. The CNA assists as needed with general receptionist and clerical duties in order to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit. REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED and Certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Alaska.

Under the supervision of the Surgical Services Director, the Clinical Supervisor directs and coordinates the daily activities of peri-operative clinical activities working in OR to provide continuity of quality nursing services. The position provides patient care expertise through the coordination, direction and education of nursing staff, in addition to assuring that patient's needs are met through adequate daily staffing of the department.
