To perform the highest quality testing in the Section to which assigned. Serves as a facilitator/resource person to ensure effective department operation.   Description:   Act as a resource for MT’s when questions or problems arise. Assist Lab Section Supervisor with the day to day operation of the Lab Section area ensuring effective daily department operations and participate in the staffing process to ensure adequate staffing in all lab areas. Under the direction of the Rapid Response Supervisor ensures the quality and training aspects of decentralized testing (Point Of Care Testing).   Description:    Responsible for all compliance accountabilities of the Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Technician in accordance with the College of American Pathologist (CAP) or other regulatory agency such as the Joint Commission. Maintain all records in accordance with regulatory agencies and assist with preparations for Lab inspections.  Assist with the POC instruction of newly hired patient care personnel at the request of the department heads. Train the trainers in areas of testing. Act as a resource when questions or problems arise. Review and track annual re-certification and adherence to POCT procedures.  Communicate non-compliance to appropriate department head. Ensure calibration, calibration verification, and linearity studies according to established policies. Review quality control data and patient logs according to policy and established schedules. To perform and provide duties within the Breast Care Center that will assist in the processing of patient services including but not limited to scheduling, reception, registering patients and medical records duties.   Description:   Performs duties of the Receptionist/Secretary: • Greet patients and obtain demographic and insurance information and register patient into system. • Answer telephone in a professional, courteous and pleasant manner in less than four rings following departmental policy for scripting. Directs calls to appropriate persons and/ or departments taking information and/or accurate messages. • Obtain legally acceptable general consents to bill third parties. • Answer routine questions including but not limited to departmental policies, operations and procedures. • Schedule patients’ appointments in person or by phone. • Sort and distribute all mail to physicians and manager daily. • Verify and accurately enter radiology orders in the radiology information system. • Register patient using the electronic registration system, scan identification, license and appropriate forms needed for the appointment. • Verify patient appointments, provide necessary forms to patient when appropriate and direct/escort patient to proper examination area or notify appropriate area of patient arrival. • Provide receptionist and typing services for manager and Radiologist as needed. • Copy and/or provide radiology record information to outside facilities and Physicians under established guidelines. • Ensure accurate maintenance of administrative records. Performs duties of the Medical Records Clerk: • Responsible for processing, assembling, reviewing, filing and retrieving confidential patient records. • Under the general supervision of the department Manager; locate, pull and prepare charts for the following day’s schedule. • Assist in location of missing charts and compile new charts. • Pull charts for all incoming patient medical records in all media types and distribute charts to secretary, nurse, physician or manager as appropriate. • Pull charts for messages as needed. • File patient medical records and medical reports in all media types in accordance with department policy and procedure, ensuring effective retrieval. • Identify and resolve misfiled or mislabeled medical records. • Re-file pulled charts and periodically purge files to inactive storage by: Shifting medical record folders as shelving space requires, ensuring even distribution of folders on shelves.  • Prepare, pack and store inactive medical records. • Copy and /or provide medical records information to outside agencies and physicians under established guidelines. Reviews all patient information before procedure, and retrieves symptomatic notes from physician offices. • Answer routine inquiries and telephone calls from patients, physicians, and other hospital personnel in a courteous manner within a reasonable amount of time. • Maintains appropriate department records and filing system to ensure efficient retrieval of information. Answer telephone in less than four rings, direct calls to appropriate persons and take accurate messages. Obtain legally acceptable general consents to bill third parties. Secure copies of valid insurance cards and photo identification cards. Open and distribute mail . Under the direction of the Manager of Clinical Services Behavioral Health Services and in conjunction with the on call supervising psychiatrist this position is responsible for providing immediate on site psychiatric assessments psychopharmacological and level of care recommendations for individuals of all ages (depending on the scope of practice) presenting with behavioral health crises As an APRN this Clinician prescribes medication implements patient teaching and facilitates next care linkages referrals and or admissions to ensure smooth and timely transitions to appropriate level of care service   Description:   1. Conduct psychiatric assessments of individuals presenting in crisis utilizing BHIS psychiatric evaluation standards/protocols and tools.  Document all findings/contacts in client's record in accordance with established medical record guidelines.   2. Communicate findings and recommendations to other staff as indicated and consult with on-call supervising psychiatrist as needed.  Facilitate timely communications with third party payers and outside providers regarding level of care assessments and authorizations when needed.   3. Completes medication orders and prescriptions, diagnostic studies, and admission orders.  Facilitate medical clearance process as indicated.   4.  Respond to psychiatric emergencies utilizing training in management of aggressive behaviors. Demonstrate skills and initiative to prevent situations from escalating by recognizing potential at-risk situations and de-escalating clients.    5.
