Aiken Regional Medical Centers, serving Aiken and surrounding counties since 1917, is a 244 licensed-bed acute care hospital. The only hospital in Aiken County, it is owned and operated by a subsidiary of one of the largest hospital companies in the nation, Universal Health Services, Inc., based in King of Prussia, PA. 

Aiken Regional offers a comprehensive range of medical services, including specialty programs such as cardiovascular center, cancer care institute, 24/7 emergency department, joint academy, women's center, wound healing institute, pediatric center, vein center, behavioral health center, bariatric surgery, neurosurgery, and physical therapy.
