Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, assists in carrying out the phases of the nursing process as appropriately delegated by the Registered Nurse. Performs activities and functions of patient/resident care, which are task oriented and within the skill level of the Licensed Practical Nurse, in accordance with Mercy/hospital Policy and Procedures and state scope of practice. Adheres to the principles of Service Excellence Guiding Behaviors and the philosophy and mission of Mercy in all aspects of job performance.
