Responsibilities
The primary purpose of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) position is to be responsible for directing, planning and coordinating the functions and activities of nursing services and assigned patient care service areas, assuring consistency with University Hospital’s overall strategic plan. Provides leadership in personnel management, financial management, and the development of structures and processes to ensure quality patient care for all areas/departments reporting to this position. Develops productive relationships with medical staff, professional and support staff, managers and senior leadership of the hospital that are conducive to creating and implementing well designed clinical and non/clinical programs.
