Responsibilities The Physician Assistant (PA) will serve as a member of the medical care management team and be responsible for providing independent clinical assessment and patient care management services for Plastic Surgery patients across the continuum of inpatient and outpatient settings, including global health settings as appropriate. Responsibilities include performing history and physical examinations, triaging patients and accurately evaluating their vital signs, symptoms, and assessment findings. Additional functions include assisting in the operating room, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, and setting up equipment and imaging modalities before and during surgical procedures. The PA will communicate with patients, families, and referring physicians and will serve as a clinical care extender of attending Plastic Surgeons.
